The Filter Press Is Suitable For Almost All Types Of Sludge:
- To achieve proper cake release and reduce adherence to filter cloth, inorganic conditioning is often suggested for hydrophilic organic sludge.
- Generally, the addition of lime is only necessary for the filtration process of hydrophilic inorganic sludge.
- The inorganic sludge is hydrophobic and has a high density, making it a good fit for the filter press. No preliminary conditioning is done before its dewatering.
- The filter press is capable of treating oily sludge that may include light oils, but the filter’s operation may be hampered due to the presence of grease. Therefore, regular degreasing of clothes is necessary.
